guitar ensemble

Guitar ensembles provide guitarists of all levels with the opportunity to experience making music in a conductor-led ensemble. A guitar ensemble may range in size from a larger chamber group (e.g./ 7-12 players), or even an orchestra!

Students learn and perform compositions and arrangements from a variety of musical styles and eras. All music will be provided. This ensemble will read only standard musical notation (TAB will not be used in this ensemble.)

Ensemble members attend weekly one-hour rehearsals, where they work with the ensemble director and peers. Students must supply their own acoustic guitars (classical, nylon string preferred).  Music will be provided.

Guitar ensembles are not intended to take the place of private guitar instruction.
